First day in Cinque Terre
Today, around 10 am, I set out towards the Levanto station. There, I purchased a train ticket called the Cinque Terre pass. I bought this train pass for 2 days for 33 euros, allowing me unlimited travel by train between Le Spezia and Levanto. Today, I visited 3 out of the 5 villages in Cinque Terre.
The first stop was in Riomaggiore. From the station, it’s about a 5-minute walk to the boat ramp located in the center. It’s a beautiful small village with several small restaurants and shops.
The second stop was Manarola. Manarola arguably has the most famous view of the Italian Riviera. Situated on a cliff, Manarola features many small alleys and numerous vantage points overlooking the village.
The third stop was Corniglia. Corniglia is also perched on a cliff. The cliff is quite high, and to reach the village, you have three options: walking up the stairs with 383 steps, walking along the road, or taking a bus. Corniglia isn’t very large, but from the top, you have a magnificent view of the coastline and Manarola.
