Vorige week heb ik mijn reis voortgezet richting Málaga, met Granada als eerste tussenstop. De stad ligt aan de voet van de Sierra Nevada, waar zich tevens de hoogste berg van Spanje bevindt. Het is een stad die doordrenkt is met Moorse, Spaanse en moderne invloeden.
Ik heb overnacht in Beas de Granada, een dorpje enkele kilometers buiten het stadscentrum. Vanaf de camperplaats kon ik eenvoudig de lijnbus nemen naar het centrum van de stad, waarvoor een retourtje €3,60 kostte.
Granada is werkelijk een schitterende stad, maar vanwege haar meer landinwaartse ligging is het er wel beduidend frisser dan aan de kust. Overdag schommelde de temperatuur rond de 9 graden, terwijl het ’s nachts rond het vriespunt lag.
Last week, I continued my journey towards Málaga, with Granada as the first stop. The city is situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, where the highest mountain in Spain is also located. It is a city infused with Moorish, Spanish, and modern influences.
I stayed overnight in Beas de Granada, a village a few kilometers outside the city center. From the camper site, I could easily take the bus to the center of the city, and a round trip cost €3.60.
Granada is truly a magnificent city, but due to its more inland location, it is noticeably cooler than the coastal areas. During the day, the temperature hovered around 9 degrees, while at night it dropped to freezing point.
